We are looking for a tenacious, hard working and detail oriented individual with a positive attitude to join our Production Team at Monroe facility featuring a 50bbl JVNW Brew House & Flottweg centrifuge.

Rivertown is a family-owned craft brewery and BBQ restaurant founded in 2009 with recent expansion into a 26,000 sq ft space in Monroe, Ohio. Rivertown is know for the large variety of styles brewed, ranging from lagers to IPA's to imperial stouts to barrel aged and stainless sours.

This position will be responsible for working with other members of our Brewing, Packaging and Quality Team to ensure the liquid is of the highest quality, consistency and deliciousness.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

Ability to accurately follow direction and understands the brewing process

Producing high quality wort according to recipes including, but not limited to, consistently hitting target gravity, IBU, SRM and volume

Preparing ingredients for brew day

Operating all aspects of the brew house with focus on detail

General cleaning and sanitization

Work closely with QA/QC in monitoring of batches and fermentation of individual tanks of beer, record batch performance and raw material quality & performance

Jumping in to assist the Packaging Team as needed

Any other duties as determined by the needs of production

Preferred Qualifications :

While these are not necessary for employment, these qualifications are valued. 

4 year degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Fermentation Science, Biology or similar science-based degree program or graduation from an accredited School of Brewing and completion of a high school diploma. Similar job or work history with minimum 1-2 years’ experience.

This Full-Time Brewer position will require 40 hours weekly (overtime eligible) and interested individuals must be able and willing to work a variable shift schedule that is dependent upon the operational needs of the brewery which may require 12 hour days, 2nd shifts, weekends, and holidays.
